The challenge was to create a food ordering section for The Marriott Loyalty App. With 4,400+ hotels and resorts from 22 brands in over 120 countries, there's a hotel option available for all guest’ travels, and the Marriott Lotalty App provides exclusive benefits for Marriott Rewards members to make their stay better.
The touch-screen technology is meant to speed up the ordering process and give people more control over customizing their food, while reducing opportunities for human error. Currently, in Aloft Restaurants the process allows for the guest to order through the chef and pay through the front desk, which has the potential to hinder the check in/check out experience of arriving/departing guests, as well as causing a delay for the guest who is simply trying to “Grab & Go”.
iRiS is planning to buid up a new product called Brand App. It can be used to build up content about single hotels or multiple hotels within a given brand. Information such as contact details, images, location/address, amenities etc. can be stored. This data can then be used to allow guests to browse hotel information..
